We have been back a few times and the new service manager is about 200x better than the last. I still didn’t buy my new 15 outback 3.6R from them because they don’t want to compete on price. But I will say the service department is making strides to get better.
Original review: We didn’t buy a car there, but I did take our older Forester there for service twice (the second time for the same problem as the first) and they tried to charge me the second time for something they claimed to fix the first time. Then, the service manager said he would refund my money for the second time if I promised “never to come back again”. I mean I really had the intention of going back after being charged to fix the same thing twice in a month. Not to mention, the offer to refund my money for the second repair was only made after getting the GM and SoA involved. Any normal dealer, as I used to work for, would have had the Technician fix it right the second time for free. As their work wasn’t satisfactory the first time. Add to that, my fiance ordered touch up paint about a year before this and waited about 3 weeks to only find out they never ordered it. Maybe I am just extremely unlucky, but this seems like more of structural issues within the dealer. I actually am posting this 1 year and 6 months after my dealing with them, but we just bought a ’15 Forester from Subaru of South Blvd, and they weren’t bad. So maybe they have changed service managers in the last year, and then I might could recommend them. But otherwise, I would say stay away.
