I purchased a car last July/August from this dealership. My experience buying the car was very rocky. And now I firmly say I would never go back to the dealership.
Problem 1-
When purchasing the car, there was a lot of communication errors with my trade-in. I was purchasing my first car but used a car that my dad owned as the trade. The title was already signed by my father so that I could trade in the vehicle no problem. That’s when a dealership told me about title jumping. And how that was not allowed unless my dad was present or something of that nature. So I had to bite the bullet on that and pay somewhere in the neighborhood of $50 for a new title. This was communicated by the former manager Brandon Payne, he is now at another Randy Marion location.
However, the problem really begins with the dealership allowing me to drive the car off the lot with the wrong VIN number on my paper documentation. They gave me documentation for an infiniti QX 50. The car I purchased was an Infiniti Q50. This makes the car look stolen. If I were to get pulled over and all my documentation had the wrong cars VIN number on it, I would’ve probably been put a handcuffs in the back of a car. The manager (Brandon Payne) stated this himself and urge me to come back in immediately so that they could fix the documentation. He also then pointed the blame at the salesmen (Noah Moon) who took care of me. He told me to call one of the other managers (Steve Van) and voice my complaint. I proceeded to call Steve four times with no reply.
Problem 2 –
I then went to Mavis to get an oil change for my car after having it for round 6 months, and doing your normal driving. I drive 17 miles round trip from work to home, and go to the gym that is 5 miles away 3 times a week. However at mavis I found out that my tires where bald. I suspected I need a tiring balancing but was shocked to find that my tires were bald. Additionally, my brakes were low and my rotors need to be changed.
This is a big issue for me as at the time of purchase I offered to pay for all these things to be changed because general maintenance was the only things that we’re not covered by my warranty. All the issues that arise happen to be general maintenance, and not covered by my warranty. I was told that this maintenance was done at the time of sale. Was even given documentation that the work was done. But of course it was done to the Infiniti QX50 that they incorrectly documented me buying.
I then had enough of Steve Van ignoring my calls, I drove up to the dealership again and refused to leave until I spoke with the manager. I then spoke to Damon Martin. Damon is your classic salesman. He told me about how Randy Marion himself loved him because he knew that Damon was a man of his word and Damon would take care of any issue that arises. I guess this time I was the issue that need to be taken care of. Because he assured me that my 50,000 mile service would be taken care of by the dealership with little to no cost. I walked out of there understanding that even though I just spent $2000 on new tires brakes, and balancing. I would be taken care of Damon was assuming with his language.
Now a month and a half later I have sent Damon two emails. I have called him twice and left two voicemails. But I’ve gotten no reply.
Please be aware of this dealership as they do not care about service only about sales. If you have any questions our comments, I have documentation of everything.
