BUYER BEWARE of bait-and-switch tactics used by this dealership. I found this truck online, scheduled an appointment and showed up for my test drive. The truck had a hard bed cover on it and this accessory was listed on the window sticker. I traded my vehicle and thought everything was on track for a good transaction. Once I finished in the finance office, the sales person walked me out to the truck and I asked if it was the same truck. The dealership had removed the bed cover that was on the truck at the time of my offer with NO mention of this to me. I left the dealership for a dinner reservation and messaged the sales person on the way home about the bed cover and empty gas tank. I was informed that I would have to purchase the $1500 bed cover on my own and that it was not a part of the deal. The next day I showed up to get the bed cover installed and spoke with a manager that blamed me for not asking if it was a part of the deal (even though it was INSTALLED on the truck at the time of my offer and listed on the sticker). After back and forth with the manager, he offered a $300 discount on the bed cover, leaving me spending an additional $1200 for this bed cover that should have come on the truck to begin with. The lack of care from the sales manager I spoke with is concerning. I don’t think this tactic is in line with GMC standards and I hope this gets escalated and a true resolve is reached.
