Sales experience was decent- if I was rating solely by sales experience, I’d say 4/5. My salesman was very polite and helpful. However, I got a bit screwed over when it was time to pick up the car last week. I was told by a finance employee that I could come pick up the car Monday evening (I confirmed this with him over the phone that very day). I took a $60 Lyft to the dealership to pick up the car and found out that the dealership was closed. I was then out $60 and stranded in Mooresville.
It was only after contacting my salesperson that I found out there was a power outage and the boss decided to send everyone home. I totally understand closing down after a power outage, but was frustrated that I wasn’t notified before I spent $60 and stranded myself. On top of that, the only reason I even found out WHY the dealer was closed was through contacting my salesman- if he hadn’t been able to respond to my text, I would have had no idea where the car was or what was happening.
I will reiterate that my sales experience was fine and the employees were polite- but when it comes to pickups, you should let your customers know if you need to close, ESPECIALLY if you have explicitly told them to pick up a car on a specific day at a specific time. $60 down the drain and hours wasted. I would advise others to call the dealership immediately before heading over to pick up a car, even if you discussed doing so earlier.
