I had made an appointment to look at a Jeep in Statesville. The vehicle was out being used as a loaner, but was scheduled to be back on site that evening. On our way to our appointment (which is 40 minutes from my house), we get a text from the salesperson we were in contact with. He tells us that another salesperson has someone looking at the Jeep (the same person who was driving the jeep as a loaner). The customer was originally interested in a truck, but after driving the loaner jeep, they wanted to buy the jeep. The dealership was informed of this after I had made an appointment to look at the Jeep. Apparently, my salesperson and the other salesperson had failed to communicate about my intentions to view the vehicle. My salesman talked to his manager, and the manager said that they would take “the best offer”. I did not want to bid on a Jeep and give the dealership more money than was on the price tag. In addition, by the time we got to the dealership, our salesman approached us and let us know that it was pretty much a done deal with the other customer.
