My sunroof malfunctioned while trying to use the tilt function. It was raining so I pulled into Lincoln to see if they could repair it and get it closed. While checking the sunroof the tech was pushing the buttons. The only way it would go was further back making more crushing sounds. They took it in and called a few days later. The cost was going to be almost $9000. I asked them to just close it which they said they could not do. I had to pick up the vehicle take it to another company and for less than $400 they shut it. I don’t understand why this simple task could not have been done at Lincoln. Or why they would not take the opportunity to pay for the repair themselves so they could see how to do it. Then they could have charged me that amount and learned for the future. I also question how much more was damaged when they were testing the buttons after I told them what happened. Disappointed in the quality of product in the MKX and Lincoln’s lack of abilities or willingness to fix simple issues. The people there are kind and communicate well, just not an overall product or service I can get behind.
