BUYERS BEWARE!!!This is long and lengthy..THOUGHT I finally found the perfect car. I’ve been looking for a Hyundai Tucson for weeks and was about ready to give up, then I discovered a listing on Cargurs at Randy Marion Kia in Salibury NC. I reached out to the Internet sales advisor, Sheryl to confirm if the vehicle was still available. I informed her, I would be driving from Charlotte and it would take me about a hour. Our arrival time would be around 12pm. She said she would have the vehicle ready. I ended up running behind and reached out to let Sheryl know. Great….no problem she said. Three text later with follow up, we arrived at the dealership. I told them I had a appointment with Sheryl. All of a sudden the sales manager came over to inform us that the car was no longer at the dealership and their was potential sale taking place at one of their other locations. I was so taken back, upset, and felt taken advantage of. I felt this was a bait strategy to get me into the dealership. Who knows if the car even existed as current inventory. The sales manager told me he was going to call, to see if the car had been sold. Give him 5 minutes. Told me to look around to see if their was anything else they could interest me in. I said, if I didn’t buy that car, I wouldn’t buy a car from them. After waiting 15 min….I went inside and asked for the general manager, Bryan Yarbray. I’m still in shock how poorly, my situation became. Keep in mind, I’m in high end sales and never in my 30 years have treated a customer the way I was treated. I introduced myself and explained the situation and was angry that I traveled to check out this car with the intention of buying. He could tell I was upset and asked us to step outside. At this point, I could tell his demeaner had change becoming very aggressive. He told us it wasn’t Sheryl fault, that she didn’t know( don’t you confirm and hold if you know a client will be in). Bryan’s body language was making us feel like he wanted to throw blows. Crazy this is a general manager. This must be why the sign on the door had said customer service award winner for 2019 and 2020. Not 21,22,23, or 24. He told me it was out of his control that the son of Randy Marion wanted the car……WHAT?????
We ended up leaving so disgusted with the service we just recieved.
