Not a good experience with Randy Marion in both the GMC Dealership in Huntersville and the Chevrolet dealership in Mooresville. Both are related to the service departments. 2023 GMC Denali Ultimate with electrical gremlins. I hope it’s fixed now. The GMC dealership in Huntersville just threw a part at it and hoped it got fixed. It didn’t. Which caused a follow up trip the Mooresville Chevrolet dealership (closer to my house). I figured since this is the flagship location I would get great service. I was wrong. I made an appointment online, or so I thought. I was informed that it’s not an appointment, more like a placeholder in the waitlist to get it worked on. Took two days for it to get in front of a tech. Wasn’t told ahead of time they were too busy to work on it. Just dropped it off and found out after the fact. Ran the diagnosis. Came up with a service bulletin and ordered the parts. No communications (they promised they would reach out to me and keep me informed) unless I reached out to them. The people were nice enough (unlike Huntersville) but just didn’t have processes and procedures around basic customer service that they have or at least follow. They do have an online portal to check the status of the vehicle but I was informed it doesn’t work and it was just something GM made them put on the website but they don’t update it.
Truck was ready after a week. I picked it up way dirtier than I gave it to them. It also appears while the truck sat outside behind their lot, unprotected, someone siphoned the tank of gas out of it.
I get that you’re busy. Meeting basic expectations around transparency, communication, and customer experience would go a long way. Only reason not one star is that I have hope the truck is now fixed.
