I went to Randy Marion to have a recall issue with my car fixed. Everyone was nice and pleasant to work with. However, after I left the lot with my car fixed, my check engine light came on. I called when I got home, and was told to bring my car in the next morning. The service guys checked the code that was thrown, and told me I had an issue with my O2 sensor. I asked them to check out the car and make sure everything had been hooked up correctly after having worked on it the day before. They assured me everything was fine and hooked up properly. They cleared the code, gave me a card, and told me they expected to see me back soon. Sure enough, as soon as I pulled out the lot, the check engine light came back on. I decided to take my car to a mechanic I frequently use, and he ordered the parts for me. However, when my mechanic got to looking around, he discovered the O2 sensor had not been reconnected. Once he hooked everything back up, I’ve had no issue with the check engine light coming back on. I’m not thrilled that after asking the service guys if they checked everything over, it was confirmed that they had done their job correctly. Obviously not. Luckily, the mechanic I took my car too worked with me so I wasn’t out of pocket too much money.
