The staff was very friendly – while trying to make the sale. The vehicle was very fairly priced, But the buying process was intimidating and I was basically forced to buy a warrantee (which he INSISTED was bumper-to-bumper, full-coverage, and absolutely necessary) that nearly doubled the price of purchasing the vehicle. That same week we started having issues with the trunk – it wouldn’t latch most of the time and even when it would, triggered the computer system to display that the trunk was open. We called, were told the “bumper-to-bumper, full-coverage” warrantee wouldn’t cover it, and actually doesn’t cover a LOT of things that could go wrong. The staff were no longer friendly and refused to do anything about the issue. Fast-forward a month and a half, my car just failed the state inspection (which, by the way, we were told by the salesman had just been inspected a month earlier, when it really hadn’t been inspected for a year.) Unfortunately, I never never recommend Randy Marion to anyone and I will never do business there again. It was a very disappointing experience (and continues to be, as more and more issues keep coming up with the car and deceptive “warrantee.”) Perhaps I was just foolish to go along with the guarantees and word of the Randy Marion staff, but I do think it’s sad and horrible customer service to not remain integral to your customers.
