I started with one star because I popped in on my way home from the gym, so wasn’t dressed my best. I got assigned a salesman and told him exactly what I was looking for. I waited about 10 minutes while he went to get keys. I watched him, keys in hand, talking with other employees. When he finally came back, I let him know I was in a bit of a hurry. He told me it took awhile to get the keys. I acknowledged that, and told him I saw him chatting with others, but that I was on a tight schedule.

We went and looked at the car. He asked me if I wanted to test drive it, but I told him I didn’t have time right then. I asked him to write the information about the vehicle on his business card so that I could research and follow up. He informed me that he didn’t have a business card that he could give me, but that I could scan his e-business card. I declined because I really wanted something in writing with all the car’s information I could walk away with. He said “ok,” and walked away!

I am a cash buyer and he let me walk off the lot rather than write down some information for me. I called later and asked to speak to the sales manager. After being transferred to 3 other people, I was put to his voice mail. I left a message. No one has gotten back to me.

I am not sure if they don’t care, prejudged me, or have badly trained staff, but they lost a potentially very good customer.

Follow up – Tommy McBride reached out to me with profuse apologies and assured me they were taking this very seriously and were re-training that sales agent. He also wanted to do anything he could to make my buying experience with them a better experience. He has spent many hours education me on the options and packages and has gone above and beyond to reframe my experience. I will give them another opportunity to sell me a car based on his sincere regrets about this incident. Raised to 3 stars from the original one star.
