My trucks engine started shutting off on occasion when driving or even shifting into gear. The service department had never heard of a vehicle or truck doing this!! They kept the vehicle all day testing it and trying to see if it would shut off. I ended up picking it up the next morning and wasn’t charged anything. So I asked a good friend of mine who is knowledgeable with vehicles and he replaced the crankshaft sensor. In his experience with this issue it has always been the crankshaft sensor. I’ve decided to just let him work on it going forward. I don’t understand why the service department wasn’t knowledgeable with this issue.
