The Statesville Sales staff was friendly at first, but as punchlist items and questions arose they were slower and less enthusiastic in their response. I was not confident that the Service Departments 127 item checklist talked about was followed. Lights were on and hardware missed. I was given one key and one key fob on the purchased vehicle. On my trade I delivered two keys and two key fobs, and I expected two in return. I was told that I “can’t expect two keys on a used car”. I insisted it was essential and they brought in a locksmith, but I had to pay 50% which was $110.
One item was followed up by a nearby competitive dealership. I was thankful for the repair but asked for the paperwork on that item, and was told that it was requested but not delivered. I walked down to the competitive dealership service department, and got the paperwork straight away. It took me all of 10 minutes., This gave me less confidence in Marion Ford Used Cars’ follow up. When I spend $20,000 I expect better customer service. Once I write the check are you done with your customer service? Will I ever hear from you again? Do you want my repeat business ? Do you want my recommendation? If so, I suggest that customer service and follow up goes beyond the sale. Thank you.
